Advice- Part 1

I am in the middle of packing for college right now. I go back on campus on the 13th of this month, so I won't have much time to write posts. However, I still want to make sure I publish one post a day. Until I can find the time to write, I will post college advice for anyone who needs it.
Hopefully at least one of the things I have to say will help someone.

DORM

You’ll always be over packed for college. You won’t even use that printer when you run out of ink. Printers at the library are cheaper, anyway.

You might have a laundry thief in your dorm, so always stay with your clothes. Bring some homework while you wait. If you think it won’t happen to you, it will.

Plus, there will not be enough washers or dryers for everyone in one dorm. Maybe about five or six washers for a few hundred people. Someone will throw your clothes on the floor as soon as your cycle is done.

Don’t spend too much money on decorating your side of the dorm. You will eventually get tired of your brightly colored bed sheets and you might accidentally throw that expensive alarm clock when you throw it at the wall.

Do not stay in your dorm when you aren't in class or working on assignments or studying. Go hang out with people!
College will feel like summer camp for the first month you’re there. Eventually, it will feel like home.

You won’t be best friends with your roommate. Unless you're lucky. It would make it easier to live with them, yeah. But never force friendship. Just learn to respect their space and you should get along. If they do something you don’t like, let them know about it. You really do not want to have a bad relationship with your roommate.

Seriously. Clean your room. It’s a small thing, but when you’re stressed you’ll be grateful that at least you don’t have to dig to find something.

Remember that dorm space is limited. Don’t bring everything you own, you won’t have room for it all.

Amazon gives you six free months of AmazonStudent, which gives you free 2-day shipping for a lot of stuff. Very useful. If you don’t want to be charged after six months, just cancel the continuation. It’s easy. Amazon still lets you have the six months, even if you cancel.
